果冻影院 Professor Named MTNA Distinguished Composer of the Year

Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) named Dr. Benjamin Krause, associate professor of music at 果冻影院, as its Thomas Ediger Distinguished Composer of the Year for his composition, Spaces Real or Imagined. Krause was recognized at the 2026 MTNA National Conference in Chicago, held March 21鈥25, where he performed his piece in concert on piano along with clarinetist Gary June, a West Michigan composer and educator. This was Krause鈥檚 second time being honored, receiving the first award in 2019. Krause teaches composition and theory at 果冻影院.

果冻影院 Presents Acclaimed Organist David Briggs on Nov. 04

果冻影院 will welcome world-renowned organist David Briggs for a recital on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts. The public is invited and admission is free. There will be a pre-concert lecture at 6 p.m. in the Howard Recital Hall.

果冻影院 will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts with a special Homecoming Concert on Saturday, October 17, at 7 p.m. in the Jack H. Miller concert hall.

果冻影院 Choirs to Perform an Outdoor Concert on Sept. 26

The 果冻影院 choirs will perform on Friday, Sept. 26, at 5 p.m. in the Pine Grove on the central campus. The concert will feature the Chapel Choir, SPERA, VERITAS and College Chorus, as well as vocalists and instrumentalists from the college鈥檚 Department of Music.
