ӰԺ Siblings Weekend invited brothers and sisters ages 5–17 to experience an unforgettable time on campus with their Hope sibling.
Called by God, focused at ӰԺ, honed through Western Theological Seminary, and dispatched by the Reformed Church in America, Gordon (’56) and Evon (Southland, ’57) Laman served as missionaries to Japan for more than four decades.
The ӰԺ Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes the accomplishments of alumni who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in their chosen profession, have made a positive impact on their community and are involved with the college. This year’s recipients will be recognized during the college’s Milestone Weekend (May 15-16) in Holland, where the Class of 1976 will also be celebrated.
Dr. Derrick Bines, assistant professor in the department of counseling at San Francisco State University, will present a lecture titled, “We All We Got: Self and Community Care are More Than Buzzwords.” Dr. Bines will speak on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 3:30 p.m. in the recital hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts. The public is invited and admission is free.
